This weekend I spent my Saturday baking up some cakes for the gorgeous little Hetty's Christening on Sunday.
I used Mary Berry's recipe for the chocolate cake and filled this with raspberry conserve (Sainsbury's Finest) and chocolate buttercream.

The second cake was Nigella's coffee and walnut cake...
Both seemed to go down quite well with the left overs being donated to my pals in the office!
Was lovely to be baking again as I felt like I hadn't done any baking for ages. The next bake is for late in November for the same little lady but this time for her first birthday. It seems she is very keen on giraffes so something in that neck of the woods is to be baked! I think I am going to have to do some practicing.
